July 4th Weekend (Part 1)

We had a lot of fun last weekend! The 4th of July is my all time favorite summer holiday!! We started of the festivites with the Freedom Festival in down town Provo. The kids got snow cones and air brush designs on their arms. We walked around and looked at all the different booths. Since my sister's hubby had to work a booth she tagged along with us too......Brookie loves being with Myllie and Ethan.
One of the booths was a show, called Scales and Tails. From the sound of the name I bet you can guess what this booth was about to show us......yup scorpions, baby aligators, spiders, lizards, turtles, and yes...snakes! The kids had a blast watching, they were on the front row! At one point the kids were
asked to hold their breath.......Ethan figured out he could breath and hold his breath at the same time!

Scott and I are not big fans of all these fun things that this nice man was showing off......Our daughter loves them! Since they were on the front row guess who had her hand up when a volunteer was needed? That's right....Myllie!! She got to help with this big lizard, I was too busy watching to make sure my daughter wasn't eaten, to hear what it is called. Myllie loved it!!
As you can see from the picture Myllie kept the huge lizard from eating the front row. She is completely fearless and is willing to try anything! I haven't decided if that is a good thing or bad thing....LOL After the festival fun, we headed to The Stadium of Fire. It was really good, Myllie and I are fans of Carrie Underwood so we were excited! Scott and I hope that we can make it a tradition and go every year.
They did a really cool tribute to our military men and women. I am very proud to be an American. I am very grateful to all the men and women who serve, so I can have my freedom. I get kinda emotional when it comes to honoring our military. They all sacrifice so much for their country. I am very proud to be a military wife! This picture is honoring each branch of the military Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force.
Myllie took over taking pictures......Here is what she got!
Myllie and Ethan with Grandpa and Grandma
My camera is not great so as it got darker I was unable to take good pictures. I wasn't able to get any good pictures of Carrie Underwood, she was really good! I like it when they sound the same in person as they do on their CD. The Fireworks were ablsoutely amazing, we all had a blast!
After a very long day of fun, we headed home. Poor Ethan was so tired he didn't even make it to his bed. But before Daddy took him to bed I had to get some pictures.....So cute!!

These are great! It looks like y'all had a lot of fun. You know it was all worth it when they fall asleep going up the stairs!
